Theodore Roosevelt Quote About The Country Needs

Theodore Roosevelt, born on October 27, 1858, was the 26th president of the United States. In addition, he was the leader of the Republican Party and later on he became the leader of the Progressive Movement. When he became the president after William McKinley was shot and killed, Roosevelt was only 42 years old. This made him the youngest president in this history of the United States.

In addition to being a politician and president, Roosevelt was also a historian, naturalist, explorer, author and a soldier. He was loved for his energetic persona, his wide range of interests and achievements and his masculinity.

When Roosevelt became the president, it was an exciting time for the nation. He was a natural leader and led the country through many progressive reforms and ensured that the nation had a strong foreign policy.

Roosevelt believed that a president was nothing but a keeper of the people and he should take all the actions necessary that will be good for the public and the country. However, these actions should be within the laws of the Constitution. He never believed in misusing his power as the president and always worked for improving the lot of the people. He managed to find the perfect balance between the capitalists and working class. This was as per his belief wherein he felt that the government should be arbiter between different economic forces present within the country.

Roosevelt's quote about the country needs says it all. Here is the quote that Roosevelt said about what a country needs:

The country needs and, unless I mistake its temper, the country demands bold, persistent, experimentation. It is common sense to take a method and try it, if it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something.
