Hercules Greek Mythology  

Hercules was the son of Alcmene and in Greek mythology eh was a great hero who represented valor and courage and strength. Hercules was so brave that he earned a place among the gods. He left the mortal world and lived on Mount Olympus, and that is where all the gods lived. He was the son of Zeus, the ruler of Olympus.

Zeus was an adulterous god, and he had a weakness for women. He fell in love with Alcmene, who was the wife of Amphitryon. Immediately, Alcmene became pregnant and gave birth to a male child called Hercules. Hera was angered by this and she tried to kill Hercules. However, he survived even after her assault. When Hercules was a young man, he was a popular and strong warrior too. He fell in love with a woman called Megara. He married her and she bore him children. She sent 2 snakes to kill Hercules when he was born, but did not succeed. However, Hercules grew up to be a handsome young man and also a very brave and strong young man. Zeus was a very unfaithful husband to his wife and had several sons through various women. However, Hercules was special even though he was just one of them.
