Ralph Carter, a multi-talented artist, is best known for his work as the character of Michael Evans, the youngest member of the Evans family, in the 1970s sitcom “Good Times”. He was also praised for his work and acting ability in the Broadway musical “Raisin” when he was just a kid.

Ralph Carter was born on May 30, 1961 in New York and was known for his acting skills as a child and teenager. As a child, Ralph worked in the Broadway musical Raisin which was based on A Raisin in the Sun, A Lorraine Hansberry drama. Ralph was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in the Tony Awards for his work in Raisin. He also appeared in two Galt MacDermot musicals in the same season, but, unfortunately, both were declared flops. His other Broadway hits included Dude, for which he won the Drama Desk Award for the Most Promising Performer, and Via Galactica.
Carter was also known for his singing talent. In fact, he was quite proficient in singing. He recorded a disco album “When you’re Young and In Love” in the mid 1970s. This number, along with another single called “Extra Extra”, was quite popular in disco clubs.
Even today, Carter is best known for portraying the character of Michael Evans, on the hit sitcom “Good Times”. The whole world witnessed the reunion of this television series on June 28, 2006. Carter and all the former cast members including Janet Jackson, Jimmie Walker, and Bern Nadette Stanis appeared at the BET Awards.
