Heather Burge Biography
Heather Burge was a professional basketball player. She was born on November 11, 1971 in Fairfax, California. A retired professional basketball player, Heather is the twin sister of Heidi Burge. Heather and her sister Heidi graduated from the Palos Verdes High School. Before she fell in love with basketball, Heather loved to play volleyball.

She loved this game and was quite good at it. She accidently discovered that she had a good physique and talent for basketball. Her sister Heidi Burge, at first, did not like the idea of playing basketball. She was more into theater. But later, she too learned to basketball, just like her twin sister.
Heather Burge along with her sister played college basketball for University of Virginia. Her professional basketball career began in the Women’s National Basketball Association and in the European leagues. With a height of 6 feet 5 inches, Heather and her sister held a record of being the world’s tallest female basketball playing twins. The record was broken by Ann and Clair Recht later on.
In the Women’s National Basketball League, Heather Burge played for the Sacramento Monarchs while Heidi Burge played for the Los Angeles Sparks and the Washington Mystics.
Both the sisters had to retire from playing basketball due to injuries. Heather Burge is a multilingual teacher in Southern California. Her twin sister coaches youngsters on how to play basketball using all the tricks and tips she learned along with her sister.
Heather Burg's life story and achievements, and that of her sister's, was showcased in the Disney television movie, Double Teamed.
