Greece History
The period was between 120000-10000B.C when it was revealed that human life did exist in Greece. The Greek civilization flourished as early as in 7000B.C.Their bodies have been discovered in Peloponnese and Thessaly. The Bronze Age Cycladic islands, goods and equipments were found which were revealed in the modern era period. However, during the Minoan period, a new society evolved and so did the communication between the Minoans and people from other Mediterranean countries.

Communication led to exchange of new ideas and culture which further influenced the Greece culture and tradition. Crete managed to lead the export sector with activities involving export of spices, skilled labor, oil, wine and jewels. They use to also import raw-materials and food. This led to the invention of first Merchant Navy in Crete. The volcano completely destroyed Crete around 1500 B.C. The Mycenaeans took advantage of this situation and took over Greece and the culture. Now the cities in Athens, Thebos, Lilkos, Pylos, Mycenae and Tiryns came under as one. History Of Greece Flag

Every flag represents a nation and the Greece's flag is most probably the one that can get recognized very easily. It has white designs on a blue backdrop. The Greek flag has white as well as blue stripes. The white stripes are located on the top left hand side of the flag and were made in an overall proportion of 2:3. Greece adopted this design in the year 1978.
Did you know that the earlier flag had a totally different look? The earlier one had just a single diagonal cross as compared to the square presently. It goes back to the year 1822, soon after Greece got independent and was free from the Ottoman Empire.More...

This game originally began as a small festival which emerged in the 11th century as just a mere dedication to Lord Zeus. Mycenaeans use to worship Goddess Rhea who apparently happened to be Cronus’s sister. The story goes that Cronus was dethroned since he had favored Rhea’s sons.

The old age buildings, elements, motifs are still prevalent in the new age architecture today.
