Age Of Discovery Art
The Age of Discovery spans from latter half of the fifteenth century to the early half of the eighteenth century. Various path-breaking and progressive discoveries during this period led to this name. The main exponents of this era include Christopher Columbus and Amerigo Vespucci. Discovery of new lands by them opened up a new set of opportunities to the world.
Art also made distinct progress as many talented and creative artists lived during this period of Discovery. Leonardo Da Vinci was the most famous exponent of art of this period. His drawings ranged from abstract to scientific and technical. But the key factor of his drawings were the minute details he incorporated wherever necessary, which otherwise would go unnoticed by a normal observer.
