When Was The Bronze Age ?
The accurate date of origin of the Bronze Age is not known. However, various researches and study of the excavated remains from the period give us a general idea that it might have started from the third millennium BC.

Based on this knowledge, the Bronze Age is categorized into 3 broad phases. They are Early Bronze Age, starting from 3300 BC and continuing till 2200 BC, the Middle Bronze Age, continuing from 2200BC to 1550 BC, and lastly the Late Bronze Age, beginning from 1550 BC till 1200 BC. 1200 BC is believed to be the ending time of this age and beginning of the Iron Age.
Each of the phases of the Bronze Age is further sub divided into 3 or 4 more eras. The Early Bronze Age is further divided into Early Bronze Age I (3300–3000 BC), Early Bronze Age II (3000–2700 BC) , Early Bronze Age III (2700–2200 BC).
The Middle Bronze Age is further divided into four categories. They are Middle Bronze Age I (2200-2000 BC), Middle Bronze Age II A (2000–1750 BC), Middle Bronze Age II B (1750–1650 BC), Middle Bronze Age II C (1650–1550 BC).
The Late Bronze age is categorized into three ages. They are Late Bronze Age I (1550–1400 BC), Late Bronze Age II A (1400–1300 BC), Late Bronze Age II B (1300–1200 BC).
The place of origin of the Bronze Age is also not known for sure. However, the Maykop culture is generally credited with starting off the usage of bronze era.
