Why Was The Declaration Of Independence Important ?
Declaration of Independence is a very important document not only for the United States but also for the entire world. This was something that provided them with the independence that they were working for so many years. Though it gave freedom to the United States from the unjust rule of the Great Britain but also inspired various other countries to fight for their own freedom be it social, economical or political.

It was a document that declared that the 13 colonies that were under British rule were then free in spite of the fact that the British didn’t agree to it. After the declaration, these thirteen colonies got their freedom, social as well as political. The Declaration of Independence is important due to various reasons. In short it can be understood that this declaration gained sympathy towards the cause of freedom amongst the colonists.
On the other hand, in the long run or provided several other important guiding factors that have been the key points for the country’s government as far as democracy is concerned. The basic purpose of any government is to protect the rights of its citizens. The power of the government is from and with the people who are the guiding forces for democracy but then in colonization, all such things were not at all being followed by the government as the colonies were under the foreign rule. Thus, the Declaration of Independence is important because it let this thing happen as the colonies acquired their freedom using this declaration.
